9/11 is the first major world event that I remember. I was in middle school, and I stopped by my friends house so we could walk to school together and her mom told me that a plane crashed into one of the towers. It didn't hit me, I didn't understand what was going on or what a huge event we were witnessing. I remember everything about that day, and I always will.
Take a moment today to remember everyone who's lives have been changed from the events of that day.
That picture of the firefighters still gives me chills. Ah.
